Washing Machine Revolutionized
The first patented washing machine was invented by Nathaniel Briggs of New Hampshire in 1797. His machine was a crude wooden box that contained a rotating drum with perforations through which the water could drain. This early version of the washing machine was operated by hand and required a great deal of physical effort to use
